General Description: Bewick's Wrens (Thryomanes bewickii) are tiny birds that are brownish above and grayish below. The tail and bill are long, and there is a bold eyeline.
Taxonomy: Passeriformes, Troglodytidae.
Favored Habitat: Desert and mountain canyons with shrubs. |

Where to Find: Canyons at Red Rock Canyon NCA, Lake Mead NRA, and Zion National Park are good places to find these little wrens.
Comments: Usually heard long before seen, listen for the loud, buzzy song. |
