General Description: Lark Sparrows (Chondestes grammacus) are sexually monomorphic songbirds. They have a clear breast with a distinct central spot. The distinctive red, white, and black stripes on the crown and sides of the face are unique. Taxonomy: Passeriformes, Emberizidae. Favored Habitat: Desert scrub.
